Smart cities are enabling people live in synergy with their environment. The concept of smart cities is an important component of environmental protection, particularly with regard to the use of renewable energy sources. Intelligent buildings are an essential component of smart cities concept, enabling the communication between one another and different objects in the outer environment.

Learn more why ACIEET platform and its products enable buildings to become more intelligent.

Smart Buildings

Control systems are the basis in the concept of the intelligent building. They are connected to each other inside the building and also communicate with the outside environment. A variety of sensors, such as motion, light, flow, pressure, chemical and others care about detection of inputs and checking the current status. They send real-time information directly to partial systems or the central control unit. The heart of the intelligent building is a building automation system (BAS), which takes care of synchronising all systems through data exchange and central control components. In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has evolved into one of the concepts that push the potential of intelligent buildings again a few steps forward. Thanks to the ability of communication with other devices, components and sensors, smart HVAC devices have the ability to improve the accuracy and efficiency while sending data usable for monitoring.

ACIEET platform creates technologies for smart buildings:

Intelligent Air Management Solutions

Based on ACIEET platform, smart HVAC products have originated that can be installed into existing and new premises to ensure cleaning the outside air before distributing it inside the building. These systems were successfully tested and deployed in numerous installations in commercial buildings and industrial premises. They have been used to deliver fresh and healthy air to production halls, classrooms, meeting rooms or large office office buildings. Learn more about the CleanAir Pro product. These systems are adapting to the needs of people inside the premises, use a number of different sensors and are able to communicate with other systems inside or outside the building.

Building Automation Systems

ACIEET has been developed to a full compatibility with the industry leading Building Automation Systems (BAS). It uses the Internet and GSM technology to send data into central remote monitoring. Thanks to an open communication layer, ACIEET based products can talk to common BAS systems to ensure information exchange and trigger their functionality. Thanks to this, the intelligent HVAC systems based on ACIEET enable significant energy savings while maximising comfort of people in the premises. Some of the other advantages of ACIEET with regards to information systems and connectivity include real-time monitoring, predictive service and maintenance, remote diagnostics, total control, system adaptation or in-built connectivity.

Internet of Things

Internet of Things (IoT) may be regarded as one of the most significant trends that will influence the HVAC segment in the upcoming years. In connection to HVAC, professionals and experts talked more about IoT applications in residential buildings. IoT, however, already exceeds this dimension and revolutionary changes in commercial or industrial installations are expected. ACIEET technology platform responds to these trends and works on incorporating different devices and sensors into its technological platform. This enables remote monitoring of the system including its components, sending commands to these devices and vice versa or setting alarms in case defined thresholds are reached.

Model Situation of Intelligent Building Behaviour

CleanAir Pro, a smart HVAC based on ACIEET, offers this functionality, in connection to BAS: The building gradually switches to the night mode when staff leave, minimising HVAC air flow. The heating / cooling of the premises is set to night mode as well. When an employee enters the building at night, he is being detected through a chip card containing identification, including working zones. This detection activates multiple systems in buildings. BAS sends a command to the closest elevator and activates lighting at the entry to all sections the employee has access to. Based on the selected floor, lighting is activated in the target section the employee is heading to. If the floor contains several sections, these are activated after attaching the smart card before entering these zones. In this / these zones, the HVAC system switches to active daily mode for the given section. The premises are immediately being services with fresh and clean air. Also, If the system configuration enables it, other facilities in the premises, for example, TV in the lobby can be turned on or activated.

ACIEET platform is one of the important components in smart buildings and smart cities. We are constantly developing its features to further improve its technological features and integration capabilities. To keep in touch with all the latest technological development, ACIEET needs to be further researched and implemented into new products. We encourage you to get in touch with us to form new partnerships and projects that can move the ACIEET platform closer to more people.
